Our Weighted Sensory Worm is a calming tool that gives deep pressure input across the shoulders or around the neck. It's designed with sensory regulation in mind and is a good fit for children and adults with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences or anxiety, or anyone who finds gentle, even pressure grounding.
Deep pressure input gives the body steady feedback. For many people this helps them feel more settled and focused, and more in control of their bodies. The worm's long, flexible shape drapes naturally over the shoulders or around the neck, so the weight spreads evenly and the hands stay free. That makes it easy to use at a desk, during homework, at story time or during screen time, and while travelling or waiting.
Why you'll love it
- Provides calming deep pressure input to support self-regulation
- May help with focus and attention during seated tasks
- Can be part of a calm-down routine or a sensory diet
- Soft, tactile and comforting to hold and fidget with
- Portable, so it works at home, at school, in therapy or on the go
- Hands-free, so your child can keep playing, working or learning
How to use
Drape the worm over both shoulders or loosely around the back of the neck, with the weight resting evenly on each side. Use it for short periods of about 15–20 minutes, then take it off. This keeps the input effective and stops the body getting used to it. It works best when included in a planned sensory routine, for example before homework, during transitions or after a busy day.
